Dirk Kahl

Chief Financial Officer

Dirk Kahl joined Alghanim Industries in April 2025, where he oversees the Finance function across the organization, reinforcing financial reporting and controls, driving business performance, and developing finance talent and leaders.

Dirk brings nearly three decades of experience working with leading organizations across Europe and Asia. Early in his career, he spent ten years at KPMG in Germany, Singapore, and China, where he held roles of increasing responsibility and gained deep expertise in financial auditing, forensic accounting, and consultancy. He went on to serve as Chief Financial Officer for the German subsidiary of Lagardère Services, where he diversified the company’s 80-store retail portfolio from books to a broader food and convenience offering. Dirk later joined Lidl UK as Chief Financial Officer, a position he held for seven years, three of which also included serving as Chief Human Resources Officer. During this time, he led comprehensive organizational transformations and wide-ranging initiatives that helped increase revenue from 4 to 9 billion euros. Prior to joining Alghanim Industries, Dirk served as Group Finance Director and Chief Accounting Officer for Schwarz Group in Germany, overseeing a team of 250 professionals and leading group-wide areas including mergers and acquisitions, IT, and corporate social responsibility. He also worked closely with regional CFOs, overseeing due diligence for approximately 20 acquisitions per year.

Dirk holds a master’s degree in economics from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany. He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, USA, and a German Certified Public Accountant.
