Alghanim Industries Opens 17 New Costa Coffee Stores Across GCC Within 30 Days
Alghanim Industries (Kutayba Alghanim Group) recently enjoyed a 17-store-opening streak with the world-famous Costa Coffee across the Gulf in just 30 days. The store openings include several store locations in Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the Sultanate of Oman, in which Alghanim Industries launched the country’s first drive-thru store of Costa Coffee.
The largest number of new stores opened were in the KSA, where Costa Coffee welcomed customers to eight new locations to a roster of now 44 Costa Coffee stores. This includes four stores in Riyadh, two in Jeddah, and one each in Mecca and Khobar.
As part of its going efforts to deliver a signature Costa Coffee customer-centric experience, three of the four new Riyadh stores offer convenient drive-thru service, offering customers premium hand-crafted coffee from the comfort of their cars. In Jeddah, a flagship store in the King Abdullah Economic City and store by Lulu Avenues opened their doors to coffee craving customers.
Mecca saw the addition of another Costa Coffee store located in the Saudi German Hospital, while the Eastern Province city of Khobar had an opening of a new Costa Coffee store located in the Rashid Mall.
Costa Coffee’s widespread growth is reflective of both the KSA’s burgeoning economy and the continuous focus on empowering local youth, best highlighted by the nation’s Saudi Vision 2030. The company took the new store openings as an opportunity to reiterate its commitment to growing and developing young talent. Costa Coffee established a dedicated barista training center, aimed at recruiting and developing Saudi nationals across the organization, ensuring they continue to play a leading role in the company’s growth in KSA.
The partnership between Costa Coffee and Alghanim Industries began in 2013 in Kuwait, where Alghanim Industries currently runs more than 100 stores. The latest additions are located in the heart of Kuwait City, with one store in Kuwait Credit Bank’s tower and another store in the bustling Ministries Complex, serving hundreds every day. This is in addition to a store located in the historic Seef Palace.
The partnership between the two companies has since continuously flourished, culminating in the company earning developmental rights to represent Costa Coffee in KSA, Oman, and Qatar, making it the largest franchisee by territory. In the Sultanate of Oman, Alghanim Industries is steadily increasing the presence of Costa Coffee in the capital of Muscat, with three new additions within the last 30 days: Oman’s first drive-thru Costa Coffee store at November Square, and two new stores situated in the lively area of Muscat Hills and the Mall of Muscat, one of the busiest commercial spots in the capital.
In Qatar, Alghanim Industries brought three new stores to serve more customers around the peninsula, with varied locations that include Bin Al Sheikh Tower, in addition to the vibrant Doha Festival City, and popular hypermarket Al Meera.
Under the management of Alghanim Industries, Costa Coffee provides all its customers whether in Kuwait, KSA, Qatar or Oman with an unrivaled experience, as coffee drinks are handcrafted using the best coffee beans and always fresh milk. Additionally, Costa Coffee offers customers with several plant-based milk options to match their dietary needs and preferences. Across all its stores in all markets, Costa Coffee maintains its commitment in offering a variety of freshly baked goods prepared and delivered to its stores daily.
