Alghanim Industries, one of the largest privately owned companies in the region, observed Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a series of educational and promotional activities for its female employees.  The activities restate Alghanim Industries commitment to this global annual campaign, highlighting the importance of breast cancer awareness, education, and research.

Among the activities conducted, Alghanim Industries’ Medical Director Dr. Sameh Aziz presented a webinar available to all employees with information on breast cancer, health advice and provided educational videos accessible at the employee’s private convenience. The webinar also addressed various topics related to women’s health and cancer, including prevention, self-examination, early detection, cancer treatment modalities, and dealing with stress and anxiety.

Additionally, Fixly by Alghanim Engineering, a leading maintenance provider for the last 60 years, also participated by creating FixlyPink.com,  an open access digital space with information, statistics, health provider details, and more, all of which is served in English and Arabic for breast cancer awareness.

Alghanim Industries remains committed to empowering women in the community, and continues developing a supportive, enabling environment for its female talent. Alongside these educational elements, Alghanim partnered with Taiba Hospital to provide a 60 percent discount on mammograms and breast ultrasounds for all female employees over the age of 40. Alghanim Industries is one of the pioneers in introducing improved maternity leave policies for its female staff, which includes extending the paid maternity leave for up to 90 days.
