Alghanim Industries concludes 'Make Your Mark' Gender Diversity social media campaign
Kuwait, 2 April 2018: Alghanim Industries, one of the largest privately owned companies in the region, concluded its 'Make Your Mark' Gender Diversity social media campaign across Kuwait. The campaign, which was launched on International Women's Day, 8 March 2018, highlighted a video that was created to inspire generations of females while placing Alghanim Industries on the forefront of women empowerment in the workplace. To this day, the video generated nearly 2 million views and 18 million impressions across all targeted social media channels, a high number for a corporate video. The Gender Diversity video is available for viewing on YouTube via the 'AlghanimIndustries' page.
Commenting on the campaign, Chief Human Resources Officer, Henning Schlutt, said: "At Alghanim Industries, diversity and inclusion is at the top of our agenda and we strongly believe that a gender diverse environment will help our businesses to be successful in today's evolving world. Alghanim Industries has actively prioritized gender diversity at the company, and worked on multiple fronts to address issues related to recruiting and retaining female talent. The company introduced improved maternity and paternity leave policies, which includes extending the paid maternity leave up to 90 days and paid paternity leave up to 12 days. The company has also introduced miscarriage leave policies where female employees may take up to 12 days off. Alghanim Industries also co-organized a gender diversity conference that hosted local and international guest speakers, along with CEO Omar K. Alghanim, who highlighted the company's commitment to female talent during his keynote speech.
