Alghanim Industries Sponsors Dasman Forum in Colorado
Kuwait City, Kuwait: Alghanim Industries, one of the largest privately owned companies in the region, recently participated in the Dasman Forum, an event organized by the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) USA. Coinciding with the occasion of Kuwait National and Liberation Days, the event took place in the city of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and was attended by hundreds of students who are currently studying abroad across the United States. It was held under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Faisal Al Houli, Kuwait’s Consul General in Los Angeles, and saw additional participation from Kuwait’s cultural attache Hassan Al Kandari and other distinguished public figures.
Through its sponsorship of this event, Alghanim Industries reinforced its commitment to empower a new generation of young leaders, celebrating their national identity on this important occasion. Commenting on the company’s participation as a main sponsor of the event, Hadeer Shelash, Corporate Communications Manager at Alghanim Industries said:

In addition to the panel discussions, the event included a number of entertainment segments and activities, such as scavenger hunts, ziplining, horseback riding, and competitions. Alghanim Industries participated with valuable prizes to competition winners.
Among the diverse program of activities held over the two-day event, the forum included panel discussions and talks covering a variety of topics of importance to youth. Commemorating the 28th anniversary of liberation of Kuwait, the event included a talk by Mohammad Al Fajji, one of the leaders of Kuwait’s civil resistance during the 1990 Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. Al Fajji recounted several stories about his experience, bringing to life vivid details about such an important landmark in Kuwait’s modern history, to a generation of youth.
The event also included a panel discussion on the status and challenges facing professional sports in Kuwait, featuring retired footballer and 1980’s superstar Saad Al Houti; retired football player Waleed Ali, and Secretary of Al Arabi Football Club Fouad Al Mazeedi. The program also included a discussion on the hot topic of media censorship in Kuwait, featuring columnist Dr. Ghadeer Aseeri and artist Mohammed Sharaf, in addition to a panel discussion on challenges facing today’s entrepreneurs in Kuwait, featuring Chairman of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Kuwait Dawood Marafie, and Kuwaiti economist Abdullah Al Salloum.
As part of its efforts in giving back to the community, Alghanim Industries focuses on supporting education and encouraging entrepreneurship. In addition to its sponsorship to NUKS activities, Alghanim Industries is has a long record of accomplishments working with Tmkeen Youth Symposium, AMIDEAST, INJAZ Kuwait, and other entities that contribute to empowering youth and encouraging them to take up positions of leadership that can positively impact their communities.
