Commemorating its admirable achievements in enriching Kuwait’s coffee shop scene, Alghanim Industries received two awards at the Costa Coffee Middle East Asia Summit 2018

Alghanim Industries Awarded at Costa Coffee Summit in London

Kuwait City, Kuwait: Commemorating its admirable achievements in enriching Kuwait’s coffee shop scene, Alghanim Industries received two awards at the Costa Coffee Middle East Asia Summit 2018, which took place at the Bloomsbury Hotel in London, UK on 1 November 2018. The company received the Managing Director Award for being a partner that best demonstrates challenger brand behavior, and the Innovation Award for seeking innovative solutions to reach customers in new and exciting ways.

Commenting on this achievement, Costa Coffee Kuwait’s General Manager Tarek Trad underscored the company’s commitment to expanding the brand’s footprint across Kuwait, as it is set to open its 70th store in Kuwait by the end of November. “Our journey at Alghanim Industries with Costa Coffee has been very fruitful and rewarding. We have opened more than 30 stores in various locations across Kuwait since the beginning of the year, with more to come.”
He added: “We dedicate these awards to our valued customers in Kuwait; their passion for quality coffee is the main drive behind our success, and we are committed to enrich their experiences with the best hand-crafted coffee.”

Highlighting the company’s menu innovation, Product Development Manager at Costa Coffee Kuwait, Bibi Al Falah, explained: “We’re happy to provide customers with a range of pastries, salads, sandwiches, and beverages that are prepared locally to meet different tastes and dietary needs of our customers. We have recently launched GoLite, a new menu specifically designed for the health-conscious that features food items at 400 calories or less, without compromising flavor. We have also recently started a collaboration with Wholehearted Kuwait, a small business launched by young Kuwaiti entrepreneurs, introducing their vegan gluten-free and guilt-free cookies to a wider segment of customers in all our locations across Kuwait.”
During the summit, Head of Franchise MENA & SEA Tom Edgar, and Managing Director of Costa MEA Clair Preston-Beer, applauded Costa Kuwait for their seamless operations, strong expansion and great team spirit, awarded costa Coffee Kuwait, represented by Alghanim Industries.

Costa is the UK’s No. 1 coffee shop, with over 2000 stores in the UK and over 1,000 across more than 30 countries, and it continues to grow at a rapid rate. The brand currently operates in more than 60 locations across Kuwait and has a number of outlets slated to open across the country.

Alghanim Industries acquired Costa Kuwait in July 2013. Since then, Costa Coffee has been focusing on customer service, refurbishing existing stores and opening new ones around Kuwait, and refreshing and broadening its product range.
