Over the years, GTRC has built itself into a well-established organization, handling products in food, hygiene, personal care, lighting and other categories. GTRC proudly presents various blue chip multi-national companies with more than 100 brands in its portfolio. 

Initially formed as a joint venture with Spinneys, Alghanim Industries took over the management of GTRC in April 1997. In 1998, GTRC became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alghanim Industries. As per A.C. Nielsen study, GTRC was rated the #1 distributor in Kuwait in January 2008.
